questions

] what is the nature of your photographic study? simply to capture the nothingness that i do in my spare time and how much fun it is.

] what was your initial source of interest in this line of inquiry? all the time i hear my classmates (and myself at times) complain about living in this area. when i take time to think about it i find myself realizing that it really is not as bad as most young people make it out to be. one thing that i do a lot is just drive around with my friends and i wanted that to be the main focus of my project. i wanted to find a way to capture some of those good times as sort of a reminder to myself.

] what is the point/purpose? just to remind me and my fellow peers that living in the jamestown area isn't as bed as we all make it out to be.

] were there any specific people or circumstances from which you found inspiration or guidance? the main one would have to be my friend karla. she was the one i was with most of the time (and the driver in all of our crazy adventures). she would be working on her own photo projects at the same time and it was fun to be able to be "creative" together i guess you could say.

] how did the visiting artist guide your project? how did it change or evolve from beginning to end? Cathy really helped me to fine tune my project and helped me decide exactly what direction i wanted to go with my entire project.

] what have you learned? how has your opinion/belief/outlook changed? i've come to realize how much i am going to miss this place when it is time for me to leave but now i also have some great memories and the pictures to prove it.

] what happens next? i think that i will keep my project going on my own. at times i find myself thinking "oh that would make a great picture". they are fun to look back at and i think when i'm older it will be fun to see them.
